Tom Brady is a hero in New England, but even Captain America gets giddy thinking about meeting the QB.
Chris Evans went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his new movie, "Captain America: Civil War," and the conversation quickly turned to the Patriots. While Chris is friends with some of the players, he said he has yet to be introduced to Tom Brady because he wants it to be organic.
"I don't want anyone to force me into it. Just you know you do you. Just keep winning Super Bowls, and if we meet, we meet," Chris said.
Though Chris played it off cool to start, Jimmy called him out for blushing while talking about his "ideal scenario" to meet Tom.
"Yeah, it's tough because when you see him you're like, man you are the reason the Patriots get to say what we get to say to anyone who doesn't like us … I just don't want him to think I'm not cool," Chris said.
While he may intimidated by the thought of meeting Tom, Chris has already befriended some players. He talked about feeling like a "dork" in the Patriots locker room after games and even invited some to the movie's premiere. Chris said he extended the invite to Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Rob Gronkowski and Robert Kraft, who said he would not be able to make it.
While Jules and Danny "might show up," Chris said he didn't get an RSVP from Gronk.
"I actually didn't hear back. You know what, Gronk, I'm putting that on you … I can't believe I just started a beef with Gronk … I'm so sorry," Chris said, laughing.
