Tom Brady has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Patriots’ 33-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Tom Brady has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Patriots' 33-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. It is the 26th time in Brady's career that he has received the AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. His 26 AFC Player of the Week honors are second in NFL history to the 27 by Peyton Manning.

Brady completed 28-of-40 passes for 406 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in the victory at Cleveland. It was his eighth career 400-yard game and first since he passed for 466 yards at Buffalo on Sept. 20, 2015. Brady finished with his 72nd career 300-yard game in the regular season, third in NFL history to the 98 by Drew Brees and 93 by Peyton Manning.

In 2015, Brady was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September and AFC Offensive Player of the Week following Week 8.

It is the fourth time this season that a Patriots player has earned an NFL honor in 2016. K Stephen Gostkowski was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the win at Arizona on Sept. 11, and P Ryan Allen was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance vs. Houston on Sept. 22. RB LeGarrette Blount was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September.
