The New England Patriots announced today that they will conduct joint training camp practices with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, Aug. 7 and Tuesday, Aug. 8 from 9:30am - 11:30am, prior to the 2017 preseason opener on Thurs. Aug. 10 at Gillette Stadium. The practices will be free and open to the public and will be held on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium.Â
This year marks the 58th annual training camp for the Patriots, including their 15th consecutive camp at Gillette Stadium.
The 2017 season marks the sixth straight year that the Patriots will hold joint practice sessions. Last season, the Patriots hosted the New Orleans Saints and the Chicago Bears.
In 2015, the Patriots traveled to the Greenbrier in West Virginia, the site of the Saints' training camp that summer, for joint sessions prior to traveling to New Orleans for the preseason opener.Â
In 2014, the Patriots held joint practices with two different teams. That summer, the Patriots travelled to Washington to practice against the Redskins and hosted the Philadelphia Eagles the following week.Â
In 2013, the Patriots traveled to Philadelphia for joint practice sessions against the Eagles and then hosted workouts with Tampa Bay the following week.Â
In 2012, the Patriots held joint practice sessions with New Orleans prior to the first preseason game of the year and then traveled to the Buccaneers' headquarters in Tampa for two joint practices prior to their preseason matchup that year.
