All of Patriots Nation knows (and loves) Tom Brady, and it's no surprise that his reach goes far beyond the border of New England. According to ESPN, the G.O.A.T. is among the 100 most famous athletes in the world.

In its World Fame 100 list released this week outlining the world's most recognizable faces in sports, Tom ranked 21st overall. Last year he was ranked No. 52 overall, giving him a significant jump up the list. Between five Super Bowl rings, high profile endorsements and full-blown celebrity status, Tom has earned his place here.

With names like Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James and Lionel Messi rounding out the top three, suffice it to say the list was stacked with international star power. Despite the heavy hitters, Tom was the highest ranked NFL player, followed up by Cam Newton at No. 47.
