The Drive for 5 Bus gang rose with the sun in Charlotte, N.C., Friday morning, and it didn't take long for them to find adventure.
The crew met up with Patriots alumni Ken Walter in his home city and wandered over to check out the Charlotte Motor Speedway. One thing led to another, and before they knew it, Pat was driving the bus around the track. Ken, Pat, Jim and Hardy even recreated Adam Vinatieri's famous Snow Bowl kick across the finishline.
From Charlotte, the crew jetted off to (dun, dun, dun) Atlanta. With goodwill in their hearts, the crew popped into a McDonald's and bought lunch for Falcons fans as a peace offering. They also met up with former Patriots team reporter Jackie Brittain to talk to fans on the street.
Once the wrapped up in downtown, they headed out to the home base of the Atlanta Patriots Fans club, and to put it mildly, the place was bumping. Fans from all around the city -- and some dedicated fan club members from Nashville and Memphis -- made the trek out the Hudson Grille in Sandy Springs, where the crew spent the rest of the night. They even got a chance to catch up with two time Super Bowl Champion Bobby Hamilton.
Once the festivities ended, the crew boarded the Drive for 5 Bus to head to Mississippi. Stay tuned.
