The journey is nearly over for the Drive for 5 Bus, and while the crew is anxious to get to Houston, they aren't quite done yet.
After leaving a fan rally with hundreds out to represent Patriots Nation in Atlanta, the bus drove overnight and woke up in Vicksburg, Miss., home of Malcolm Butler. A trip to Super Bowl LI wouldn't be complete without paying a visit to the home of Super Bowl XLIX's hero. Even two years later, folks in Vicksburg are still proud of Malcolm -- and so is the rest of Patriots Nation.
From Vicksburg, it was off to New Orleans, where 15 years ago, the Patriots hoisted their first Lombardi trophy in the air. After Jim sat in the barber chair at "The Art of Shaving" on Canal Street, the crew let loose and had some fun talking to Patriots fans in the French Quarter.
They even spotted a Patriots fan sporting a jersey atop a float. Talk about dedication.
With one day left, those aboard the Drive for 5 Bus sure are eager to get to Houston, but before they arrive Sunday evening, there are few crucial places left to stop. Be sure to keep tabs on all the bus's activities through #DriveFor5Bus.
