More than 40 New England Patriots gathered for a third day of player-only workouts led by All-Pro quarterback Tom Brady at Boston College's Alumni Stadium on Friday.
Brady and teammates took efforts to prevent media from observing practice, according to The Boston Globe, going so far as to roll a portable souvenir cart in front of an open gate to block view of the field.
It was the same story Thursday, when several reporters stood behind a locked gate and peered through binoculars at the players.
The players worked out in T-shirts and shorts and practiced at both end zones. The newspaper reported that the defense appeared to win a drill, which led to defensive lineman Vince Wilfork guiding the offense through pushups.
For a number of Patriots, the workout served as a warmup to Brady's flag football event Friday night at Harvard.
