Brandin Cooks knows how to pick a jersey.
With the bye week, Brandin had some free time, and he used it to catch other Boston athletes in action. He threw on a Patrice Bergeron jersey and headed over the TD Garden to watch the Bruins take on the Carolina Hurricanes.
And, well, he chose his outfit wisely.
Patrice notched four goals and an assist on Saturday night, tying a team record for goals scored in a game. He also added a personal accolade. With his third goal of the night, Patrice joined the 700-point club.
Brandin and Patrice were able to meet after the game, and on Twitter, Brandin wrote that Boston athletes have a special bond.
This isn't the first time the Patriots have crossed paths with the Bruins. This preseason, Bruins players paid a visit to Patriots training camp, and Patrick Chung even skated with the team last year. And who could forget when the Super Bowl champions returned home and dropped the ceremonial puck at the TD Garden in February?
We certainly didn't, and we can't wait for the next Patriots-Bruins crossover.
