Broncos sign free-agent LB Hollowell

Free-agent linebacker T.J. Hollowell signed a two-year contract with the Denver Broncos.

DENVER (July 8, 2006) -- Free-agent linebacker T.J. Hollowell signed a two-year contract with the Denver Broncos.

The third-year pro has appeared in six regular-season games, two with the New York Jets last season and four in 2004 with the New York Giants, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska.

Hollowell spent the final five weeks of last season on the Chicago Bears' practice squad and also was on the active roster of the Miami Dolphins last season.

In four years at Nebraska, Hollowell had 173 tackles (76 solo), 3½ sacks, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.
