SAN DIEGO (Jan. 23, 2007) -- Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers won't play in the Pro Bowl because of a foot injury. Chargers spokesman Bill Johnston said that Rivers sprained his right foot against the Arizona Cardinals on Dec. 31 and aggravated it in the Chargers' 24-21 playoff loss to New England.
The team decided it's best if Rivers stays off the foot, Johnston said.
The Chargers are still sending a league-high nine players to the Pro Bowl.
