Chris Evans may be suave on the red carpet and dapper as Captain America, but when it comes to talking about Tom Brady, Chris is just like the rest of us.Â
This week Chris stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and it didn't take long for the Patriots Super Bowl LI victory to come up. The last time Chris talked with Jimmy, he said he had yet to meet his idol, Tom Brady, and though Chris missed Tom after the game because he "had to go rule the world or something," he is ok with it.Â
"I just want to let him be the thing I imagine he is, and that's it. That's good enough for me," Chris said.Â
"Look at you. You're positively glowing," Jimmy said.Â
That radiant look a Patriots fan gets when talking about TB12 quickly turned to frazzled excitement at the thought of a surprise appearance by Tom. Chris let his nerves get the best of him and knocked over a glass of water.
"That would never happen to Tom," Jimmy said.Â
That wasn't the only time Chris couldn't keep it cool on the episode. Jimmy played a video Chris posted to his Twitter account of his reaction to James White's game-winning touchdown, and let's just say he goes nuts.Â
"[It was] the most emotional game I've been a part of, truly any one of you has been a part of too. I don't care what sport you're into. It's the best game you've ever seen," Chris said.
You can't argue with that. Check out the interview in the video below.Â
