NEW ENGLAND TIES

• Giants president and CEO John Mara earned his undergraduate degree from Boston College and graduated in 1976 with a degree in marketing.
• Giants senior vice president of player personnel Chris Mara went to Springfield College to play football before transferring to Boston College.
• Giants senior vice president and general manager Dave Gettleman was born in Boston. He earned his bachelor's degree from Springfield College in 1972 and earned his master's degree from Southern Connecticut State in 1978.
• Giants LB Mark Herzlich played at Boston College from 2006-10, recording 314 tackles, 12 interceptions, 5 1/2 sacks and seven forced fumbles. He was a first-team All-American and ACC Defensive Player of the Year for the 2008 season.
• Giants defensive coordinator James Bettcher was the linebackers and special teams coach at the University of New Hampshire in 2011.
• Giants DB Andrew Adams played at UConn from 2012-15, recording nine interceptions and 15 passes defensed over his 44 appearances.
• Giants linebackers coach Bill McGovern played college football at Holy Cross and is in the school's Hall of Fame. He has local coaching stints at Holy Cross, UMass and at Boston College.
• Giants assistant special teams coach Tom Quinn was defensive coordinator at Boston University in 1995 and Holy Cross from 1996-98.
• Giants LS Zak DeOssie attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass. where he was an All-New England Prep Team and Eagle Tribune All-Star selection. He also played collegiately at Brown.
• Giants WR Kalif Raymond played at Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. from 2012-15, totaling 155 receptions for 1,683 yards and 14 touchdowns over 40 games.
• Giants TE Scott Simonson played at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass. from 2010-12.

NEW YORK/NEW JERSEY-AREA TIES

• Patriots chairman and CEO Robert Kraft graduated from Columbia University in 1963 with a degree in history and economics and was inducted into the school's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.
• Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores attended Poly Prep HS in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he played running back and linebacker.
• Patriots safeties coach Steve Belichick attended Rutgers, where he walked on to the football team as a long-snapper in order to prepare for his coaching career.
• Patriots DBs Jason and Devin McCourty are from Nyack, N.Y. and went on to play at Rutgers.
• Patriots DB Duron Harmon also played at Rutgers, notching six interceptions and 129 total tackles from 2009-12.
• Patriots WR Chris Hogan is from Wyckoff, N.J. which is just a half hour from MetLife Stadium. He played football at Monmouth in 2010 and spent time on both offense and defense.

FORMER PATRIOTS

• Giants OL Nate Solder was drafted by the Patriots in the first round (17th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft and played for the team from 2011-17, winning the Super Bowl twice.
• Giants director of pro personnel Ken Sternfeld worked for the Patriots for 21 years from 1981 to 2002 in a variety of roles including the scouting department.
• Giants OL Jon Halapio was drafted by the Patriots in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.
• Giants DB Leonard Johnson played four games on New England in 2015, accumulating 11 tackles and three passes defensed.

FORMER GIANTS

• Patriots head coach Bill Belichick spent 20 years on the Giants coaching staff from 1979-1999, holding a variety of positions including special teams coach, defensive coordinator and assistant head coach. Belichick was a part of the 1986 and 1990 Super Bowl-winning teams in New York.
• Patriots TE Will Tye played for the Giants from 2015-16 and scored four touchdowns.

FORMER NFL TEAMMATES

• Giants head coach Pat Shurmur was the offensive coordinator at the St. Louis Rams while Patriots defensive line coach Brendan Daly worked in the same role for the Rams from 2009-10.
• Giants head coach Pat Shurmur was tight ends coach and offensive coordinator for Minnesota and coached Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson on the Vikings in 2016. Shurmur also coached two Patriots during his time as offensive coordinator in Philadelphia, crossing paths with DB Eric Rowe (2015) and OL Matt Tobin (2013-15).
• Giants offensive coordinator Mike Shula coached the tight ends for Chicago while Patriots running backs coach Ivan Fears was the receivers coach from 1993-95.
• Giants defensive coordinator James Bettcher was special assistant to the head coach and the outside linebackers coach for Indianapolis in 2012, coaching TE Dwayne Allen and DL Lawrence Guy. Bettcher also coached Patriots OL Ulrick John as defensive coordinator for Arizona in 2016.
• Patriots OL Trent Brown played for the 49ers with Giants LB Ray-Ray Armstrong from 2015-16. Giants special teams coordinator Thomas Mc- Gaughey coached Brown in the same role for San Francisco in 2015.
• Giants LB Connor Barwin played for Philadelphia with Patriots OL Matt Tobin (2013-16), DB Eric Rowe (2015) and WR Paul Turner (2016).
• Giants DB Michael Thomas and LB Olivier Vernon played with Patriots RB Mike Gillislee (2013-14) and OL Ulrick John (2015) for Miami. New York DL Robert Thomas and LB Jordan Williams also played with John in 2015.
• Patriots WR Eric Decker played with Giants DL Damon Harrison on the New York Jets from 2014-15. Decker was coached by Giants special teams coordinator Thomas McGaughey, who coached in the same capacity for the Jets in 2014.
• Giants LB Alec Ogletree played on the Rams with Patriots LB Nicholas Grisgby (2016).
• Giants CB Chris Lewis-Harris played for Cincinnati with Patriots RB Rex Burkhead (2013-15), LB Marquis Flowers (2014-15) and RB Jeremy Hill (2014-15).
• Patriots DE Adrian Clayborn was on Tampa Bay with Giants DB Leonard Johnson (2012-14), OL Patrick Omameh (2013-14) and WR Russell Shepard (2013-14). Clayborn also played for Atlanta with Giants RB Jhurell Pressley from 2016-17.
• Patriots DL Lawrence Guy spent time with Giants OL Nick Becton on San Diego in 2013.
• New England RB Jeremy Hill played for Cincinnati with K Marshall Koehn in 2017.
• Patriots QB Brian Hoyer played with Giants CB William Gay for Arizona in 2012 for Weeks 14-16.
• Patriots OL Ulrick John played with Giants WR Marquis Bundy, DE Josh Mauro and OL Kareem Martin for Arizona in 2016.
• Giants OL Chris Scott played for Buffalo with Patriots WR Chris Hogan and CB Stephon Gilmore in 2012.
• Patriots OL James Ferentz was on Denver with Giants WR Kalif Raymond, WR Hunter Sharp and P Riley Dixon for the 2016 season.
• Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson was a part of the Minnesota offense with Giants TE Rhett Ellison from 2013-16. Patterson also played with Giants OL Zac Kerin from 2015-16.
• Patriots RB Mike Gillislee played for Miami with Giants DL A.J. Francis and OL John Jerry in 2013.

• Patriots DL Lawrence Guy on the Baltimore defense with Giants CB Chris Lewis-Harris in 2016.
• Giants OL John Greco played for Cleveland with Patriots QB Brian Hoyer (2013-14) and DL Danny Shelton (2015-16).
• Patriots OL James Ferentz played with Giants WR Cody Latimer on Denver from 2015-16.
• New England OL Luke Bowanko was on Jacksonville with New York OL Patrick Omameh in 2016.
• Giants CB Curtis Riley played for Tennessee with Patriots WR Eric Decker (2017), DB Jason McCourty (2016) and OL Brian Schwenke (2016). New York QB Alex Tanney also played with McCourty (2015-16) and Schwenke (2015-16) on the Titans.

Giants LB Ray-Ray Armstrong also played for Miami, teaming up with Dorsett from 2011-12. New York OL Malcolm Bunche also played with Dorsett from 2011-13. Finally, Giants LB Olivier Vernon played with Dorsett during the 2011 season.
• Giants DL Robert Thomas crossed paths with several members of the Patriots during his time at Arkansas, playing with DL Trey Flowers (2011- 13) and DL Deatrich Wise Jr. (2012-13). Patriots consultant to the head coach Bret Bielema was head coach at Arkansas in 2013 while tight ends coach Nick Caley was a defensive graduate assistant the same year.
• Giants RB Jonathan Stewart played for Oregon with Patriots S Patrick Chung (2005-08) and DB Eddie Pleasant (2007-08).
• Giants DT RJ McIntosh played at Miami with Patriots WR Braxton Berrios and DL Trent Harris from 2015-17.
• Giants LB Lorenzo Carter played at Georgia with four different Patriots, sharing the field with C David Andrews (2014), DL John Atkins (2014-17), RB Sony Michel (2014-17) and OL Isaiah Wynn (2014-17).
• Patriots C David Andrews spent time with Giants LB Alex Ogletree on Georgia from 2011-12.
• Giants K Marshall Koehn played for Iowa with four different Patriots, spending time with OL Cole Croston (2012-15), OL James Ferentz (2011-12), WR Riley McCarron (2012-15) and OL Matt Tobin (2011-12).

• Patriots DB Jordan Richards played for Stanford with Giants DE Josh Mauro from 2011-13. Richards also played with Giants DB Michael Thomas in 2011.
• Patriots FB James Develin played with Giants LS Zak DeOssie at Brown in 2006.
