The Miami Dolphins signed wide receiver Cliff Russell and defensive tackle Josh Shaw and waived defensive tackle Tim McGill.

MIAMI (Oct. 12, 2005) -- The Miami Dolphins signed wide receiver Cliff Russell and defensive tackle Josh Shaw and waived defensive tackle Tim McGill.

The Dolphins also released punter Matt Turk, who had been on the injured reserve list since a preseason groin injury.

Russell was in training camp with Cincinnati before he was released on Sept. 3. Originally a third-round pick by Washington in 2001, Russell had three catches for 31 yards in 16 NFL games with the Redskins and Bengals.

Shaw was in camp with the Dolphins this year before he was released on Sept. 4. He had seven tackles in five preseason games.

McGill had signed as a free agent on Sept. 4.
