Empire State Building to light up for playoff teams

If only for a day, New York will be lighting up for New England ... and the remaining three playoff teams.

Typically, New York and Boston are on opposing ends of a fierce rivalry in just about every sport, but on Sunday, a New York landmark will light up for New England ... and Jacksonville, Philadelphia and Minnesota.

In honor of the NFL playoffs, the Empire State Building will be lit in the colors of the four remaining teams. The North side of the tower will be red, white and blue for the Patriots. The Jaguars will light up the East side with teal and gold, while the Vikings and Eagles will take up residence on the West and South sides respectively.

When the AFC and NFC Championships wrap up and the Super Bowl LII matchup is known, the building will be divided to represent the final two teams.

While you'll have to wait until Sunday to see the Empire State Building lit up, you can check out a rendering below. Patriots fans living in the Big Apple -- make sure you don't miss this awesome moment.
