New England Patriots announced the signing of wide receiver Shockmain Davis, their final exclusive rights free agent.

            Davis, who signed with the Patriots as a rookie free agent, played in 12 games for the Patriots as a rookie, including one start. He made his NFL starting debut before a nationally televised Thanksgiving Day audience at Detroit and caught two passes for 12 yards. They were his first receptions of the season.

Most of the playing time for Davis came on special teams, where he contributed five tackles. He also had two kickoff returns for 45 yards, including one for 32 yards
