In case you noticed pedestrians on the side of the road staring up at the sky during your ride into work this morning - rest easy that it wasn't due to an alien invasion or the zombie apocalypse.
A group of F-15 fighter jets flew over portions of eastern Massachusetts on Thursday - including downtown Boston and Foxborough - as part of a planned training and media mission, according to Air National Guard officials.
Starting at about 8:10 a.m., the jets left Hanscom Air Force Base and began their trip from Salem to Cape Cod before heading back to their base in Westfield.
The training mission turned into a great photo opportunity at Gillette Stadium, with the jets flying at an unusually low altitude.
