Sunday's practice](/node/47966) turned out to be an easier one for the Patriots star quarterback, Tom Brady. PFW's Andy Hart says that Brady stepped back his reps a bit, which in turn allowed the younger quarterbacks to get more action in Day 4. According to Jackie Brittain and Bob Socci, Ryan Mallett took full advantage of the extra opportunities and played well. While the team took Monday off from practice, Andy Hart recaped his four biggest observations from the first four days of camp.
On Tuesday morning, the players took to the field for Day 5 of training camp on a beautiful day at Gillette Stadium. Julian Edelman was the star of the day making numerous acrobatic catches. After practice, Tommy Kelly, Rob Gronkowski, and a few others addressed the media. Kelly says he's just happy to be back while Gronk talked about his rehab progression.
Wednesday's practice was a physical one with Brandon Browner and Kenbrell Thompkins getting into a scuffle at one point. Jackie Brittain and Bob Socci discussed the high intensity in their Day 6 training camp recap. Matthew Slater made his return to the practice field on Thursday after spending the entire offseason on the sideline while recovering from an undisclosed injury. Slater met with the media after practice and talked about how it felt to be back on the field with his teammates. Day 7 of camp was significantly less intense compared to Wednesday's very physical practice, but even still, the defense once again seemed to get the better of the offense. Tom Brady talked about the competition between the offense and the defense during his post-practice interview. Jackie Brittain also got a chance to speak with Danny Amendola one-on-one and they talked about how he's felt so far in camp.
