In Case You Missed It: Joint-practices with the Eagles

In case you missed it we recap all the news from this week as the Philadelphia Eagles came to town for three joint-practices prior to the Patriots and Eagles preseason game on Friday.

Following their loss to the Washington Redskins last Thursday, the Patriots got back to work on Sunday and Monday. Ryan Mallett was not on the practice field both days, however, Gronk was back and both Aaron Dobson and Dominique Easley made their first appearances of camp on Monday. For more on Sunday and Monday's practice, check out Andy Hart's and Erik Scalavino's blogservations.

On Tuesday](/node/48061) the Philadelphia Eagles came to town for three straight joint-practices at Gillette Stadium. The Eagles proved to be a much tougher challenge in practice than the Redskins were last week. Overall the two teams seemed fairly balanced over the course of the week. The officials were in town this week as well and made sure to let the flags fly during practice in order to educate the players on the new rule emphasis. After Tuesday's practice, Robert Kraft, Bill Belichick and the rest of the Patriots team took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge -- make sure to check out the full video!

Wednesday's practice](/node/48071) was closed to the public due to the rain but the players were still out on the field in full force. Jerod Mayo was missing from practice for the second straight day on Wednesday, but on a good note, Jimmy Garoppolo appears to be gaining confidence. Jackie Brittain and Bob Socci discussed the rookie quarterback's performance in Wednesday's training camp recap.  Chandler Jones, Logan Ryan and a soaking wet Brady spoke to the media on Wednesday about what it's like to go against the Eagles on the practice field. The two teams wrapped up the week of joint-practices with a walk-through on Thursday. After practice, Devin McCourty and Ryan Mallett were among the players who spoke to the media as the team prepares to play the Philadelphia Eagles in the second preseason game of the year.
