After practice, Tom Brady, Jerod Mayo, Vince Wilfork, and the Patriots coaching staff met with the media to talk about their impressions from the first day. Brady spoke about being a leader on the field while Wilfork and Mayo talked about getting back to full form after recovering from injuries.
Day two of camp was a beautiful day at Gillette Stadium. Not a cloud was in the sky as thousands of fans filed into the stands. For the second straight day, WR Kenbrell Thompkins had a very strong performance and is building trust with Tom Brady. On the opposite side of the spectrum, rookie QB Jimmy Garoppolo had a very rough practice, throwing a handful of interceptions. After practice, both Darrelle Revis and Rob Gronkowski met with the media -- Revis talked about his adjustment to life as a Patriot, while Gronk says he's just happy to be back. The Patriots star tight end also made it clear that he's not changing his style despite the knee injury last season. He say's he's going to continue "smashing and dashing" in 2014.

Saturday's training camp session](/node/47961) was full of "firsts". It was first practice in which the players were dressed in full pads and was the first practice with Tommy Kelly on the field. For the second straight practice, Jimmy Garoppolo struggled throwing the ball and even had to run a few penalty laps. Luckily, Andy Hart says the rookie is staying positive by having a short memory. Overall, the defense certainly seemed to have a much better practice than the offense on Saturday.
