Mired in a three-game losing streak, the New England Patriots hope to get a boost from the return of middle linebacker Ted Johnson.
Johnson, who has missed the entire season because of a biceps injury suffered during the preseason, said he will be in the starting lineup when the Patriots host the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night. He will replace rookie Andy Katzenmoyer, who stepped into the role when Johnson went down.
Head Coach Pete Carroll said that Tedy Bruschi will still start at the weak side linebacker spot. Bruschi and Katzenmoyer were competing for the weak side position before Johnson suffered the injury. However, Carroll said Katzenmoyer will remain at middle linebacker because it is uncertain how much Johnson will be able to play in his first game game.
