If you're preparing for a killer workout, looking for motivation and plotting a big comeback, the perfect playlist amplifies the moment. No skip-worthy songs allowed.
For Julian Edelman, this season is dedicated to recovery and getting healthy, and now Patriots fans know exactly what music fuels that hunger to get back on the field. Julian released a "Comeback" playlist on Spotify Thursday afternoon.
Needless to say, the playlist is four hours of jams that will fire you up.
It kicks off with a mash-up called "Sports Inspirational Speeches" by Erich Schwer. It combines some of the greatest moments from sports movies that never fail to motivate. From there, the playlist launches into a slew of songs that could be used to set the scene of any training montage.
The playlist covers a wide range of genres and artists, including Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Marvin Gaye, The Rolling Stones, Kings of Leon, Johnny Cash, Alabama Shakes and 2Pac. It's the perfect pump up. He even included a few nods to New England, like "Shipping Up to Boston" by the Dropkick Murphys and "Pop That" by French Montana, Rick Ross, Drake and Lil Wayne, which includes this line: "Ballin', ballin', like I play for New England."
The past few weeks, Julian has traveled the region to promote his new book, "Relentless," which covers his journey from an undersized kid with NFL-sized dreams to an all-star football player. The "Comeback" playlist reflects this motivation and serves as an example of Julian's relentlessness.
One listen through this playlist and you'll feel like you could make the greatest comeback of all time.
Some of the songs included are not suitable for all ages. You can take a listen here.
