It has been a long week in Patriots Nation. Since Julian Edelman's injury against Detroit this weekend, wishes for a quick and strong recovery have been sent from fans, teammates and players around the NFL, and on Tuesday, Julian broke his silence on social media.
In a note posted to his Twitter and Instagram accounts, Julian thanked those who reached out and said he was going to go into rehabilitation the same he faces every challenge in his life.
"This has been an extremely trying week. That being said, the amount of support I have received since Friday night is truly humbling. I will approach this rehab process the only way I know how, with everything I have, to make sure I come back stronger than ever," Julian wrote. "Thank you to everyone for your unwavering love and support."
He closed the letter with a line that sums up Julian's mentality and willingness to fight perfectly.
"Tough times don't last, tough people do."
