News Blitz 1/28: Media Day Madness

A roundup of Patriots news coverage.

CHANDLER, Ariz. – The big story of the day at Super Bowl XLIX on Tuesday was, of course, Media Day, where both the Patriots and Seahawks were available for hour-long interview sessions in downtown Phoenix.

ESPNBoston.com offers a quick-hit list of some of the best nuggets and anecdotes collected from Patriots Media Day interviews, as well as a more in-depth look at CB Darrelle Revis' first Super Bowl experience. There's also a lengthy feature on OC Josh McDaniels.

Check out photos from Patriots Media Day at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona during on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.

The* Boston Herald* spent time with CB Brandon Browner to chronicle his long road to the Super Bowl. You'll also find a feature there on Patriots personnel director Nick Caserio and Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.

An opinion piece in The Boston Globe says DeflateGate will have major implications for the reputations of either Commissioner Roger Goodell or Patriots owner Robert Kraft. In addition, there's a good feature on DC Matt Patricia and a separate piece on some of the other Patriots assistant coaches.

The Providence Journal goes deeper in conversation with LB Jamie Collins, who typically eschews the media spotlight, and how QB Tom Brady's o-line was protecting him even on Media Day.

CSNNE.com says despite asking for a league apology, the Patriots won't be getting one, and it wonders whether Brady's future Hall of Fame credentials will take a hit from DeflateGate. The site also gets the opinion of Hall of Famer Michael Irvin, who comes to Brady's defense in the controversy.

NESN.com caught up with TE Rob Gronkowski, whose famous vehicle is headed to Arizona. There's also a story on how much one of the footballs from the AFC Championship might be sold for in an upcoming auction, and a couple of funny video clips from Julian Edelman and comedian Louis C.K. (a Patriots fan).
