Things are still rather quiet in Foxborough after the holiday, but the aftermath of the news of Julian Edelman losing his appeal continues to generate some buzz.
Edelman was informed his appeal was denied just prior to the holiday so now the Patriots know they'll be forced to be without his services for the first month of the season (unless he chooses to continue the appeal process to a higher court).
The Boston Globe offers a glimpse of what the Patriots will be up against in the first month of the season without Edelman. The Portland Press Herald say Edelman's absence creates a big hole for the Patriots.
MassLive.com's Kevin Duffy looks at the Patriots with the most to prove in training camp. Incidentally, congrats to Duffy, who will be moving to the Boston Herald to head up their Patriots coverage starting next week.
The Boston Sports Journal moves forward in its rankings of the Patriots roster. Today it looks at Nos. 72-64.
