Josh Gordon made his debut on the practice field in Foxborough on Wednesday, officially limited in his participation due to a hamstring injury.

Bill Belichick would still not address Gordon's trade arrival in his morning press conference, but his new teammates did talk about the talented receiver later in the afternoon.

The Boston Globe broke down some of Gordon’s most recent games with the Browns to see what the receiver brings to New England. The Globe offers up six things learned from the new book on Belichick that hits bookstores next week. In comparing Week 1 and Week 2, the Globe wonders how the Patriots pass rush went “from dynamic to dormant.”

The Globe has former Browns and short-time Patriots receiver Andrew Hawkins saying New England “is a good place” for Gordon. The Globe also offers ups what Lions head coach Matt Patricia had to say about facing his former team on Sunday night. The Globe notes that Gordon got No. 10 and a locker directly next to Tom Brady’s in his first day of practice in New England. The Globe has the Patriots re-signing former second-round cornerback Cyrus Jones from the Ravens practice squad.

The Boston Herald breaks down the matchup between the rocket scientist Patricia and genius Belichick. The Herald notes Gordon’s first day of practice at Gillette. The Herald passes along Rob Gronkowski talking about Gordon’s “scary” addition to the Patriots roster. The Herald also writes about Belichick’s strange refusal to talk about Gordon.

The Providence Journal writes that after a poor performance and benching in last Sunday's loss in Jacksonville, Eric Rowe is unsure if he’s still a starter in the Patriots secondary. The ProJo says the Patriots are happy to welcome Gordon aboard. The ProJo observes that while Gordon practiced, both Patrick Chung and Trey Flowers were absent due to concussions.

ESPNBoston.com notes that Belichick has had the edge in past teacher-vs.-pupil matchups such as Sunday's trip to Detroit to take on Patricia's Lions. ESPNBoston.com talked to Patricia about the job at hand for him in Detroit.

NFL.com ranks the top 10 rookie defenders, with Patriots linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley making the cut.

The Lions official site offers up a scouting report of the Patriots.
