The Patriots can't seem to pull off a conventional trade lately. The Patriots released Stork shortly thereafter.
The latest strange turn of events happened Tuesday when it appeared that the Patriots sent Josh Kline and a conditional 2018 draft pick to the Eagles for defensive back Eric Rowe. Later in the day, however, reports surfaced that Kline would not be part of the deal and was still property of the Patriots.
So, New England gets Rowe for a fourth-round pick in 2018 while Kline was ultimately released by the Patriots. ESPN Boston.com has the news as well as what the Patriots can expect from Rowe.
The Patriots named their captains for the 2016 season and had a pair of newcomers in the mix. Meanwhile, Danny Amendola, fresh off PUP, pronounced himself fit to play against the Cardinals.
The Patriots will soon find out what life is like without Tom Brady. Lots of love for the Patriots in the *Herald’s *season predictions. Being Brady's backup has been no path to success. Quarterback isn't the only issue the Patriots must solve.
