On playing the Patriots...
"It's a good football team. Offensively, they've got a lot of weapons. They're good up front, their offensive line. Their backs are explosive, wide receivers can make some plays down the field, tight ends are good at receiving the ball down the field, so that's going to be a challenge. Defensively, I think they're very aggressive. They're big, they're physical. They're outstanding in the secondary. Obviously, Darrelle Revis has been a top-notch corner in this league and he's playing at a high level, so that's a challenge. And then special teams. This is a team that is very well coached, they play very well and we're going to have to play well to have an opportunity to beat them."
- Oakland Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen
"It's a good defense. We're playing Tom Brady. We have to put up some points, so it's going to be exciting to go out there and be able to challenge against the Patriots."
- Oakland Raiders Wide Receiver Rod Streater
On preparing for Bill Belichick and the Patriots defense...
"He's very successful at what he's done. He's a great coach. I've heard nothing but great things. Coach [Pat] Hill, who is my first college coach, they are best friends. They know each other and Coach Hill taught us things that Coach Belichick does and vice versa kind of thing. I kind of know his style. I kind of know how he is. Just being around Coach Hill, I know that they're going to be ready. I know that they're going to be sound. I know that they're going to be very disciplined and that has shown because they've won however many Super Bowls. Again, he's a great coach, so it'll be good."
- Oakland Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr
On what he's seen from the Patriots so far...
I've seen a good football team. When I look at the Patriots, and I look at they're 11-1 in openers at Gillette Stadium, and Tom Brady is 49-3 in his last 52 starts at Gillette Stadium, I understand that this is a good football team. They're well coached, they're good on offense, they're good on defense, they're very sound in what they do special teams-wise, and they've been that way for a long, long time. So, we understand that it's a great challenge going up there.
- Oakland Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen
On going up against Darrelle Revis...
Darrelle is obviously one of the best players in football. The guy is phenomenal at what he does. I have nothing but respect for the guy. My plan is just to continue to watch film, continue to see what I need to do within our game plan and I'll go from there. But I have nothing but respect for the guy. He's one of the best, not corners, best players in the game.
- Oakland Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr
On going up against Chandler Jones...
"He's a great player. Every good thing that people say about him should be said about him. He's a great player. Again, just like Revis, I have nothing but respect for him and everybody on that defense. My focus is solely on myself, working on my game, working on the game plan and getting better every day. Him, himself, he's a great player and he's going to continue to be.
- Oakland Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr
On the Patriots offensive line improving...
"I thought they did a great job against Minnesota of protecting Tom [Brady] and giving him an opportunity to throw the ball. They did a good job in the run game in creating some holes and being able to rush for as many yards as they were able to against Minnesota. I think that's a unit that plays really well together. New England has always had a really good offensive line, and I think they're no different this year. "
