Today's *Boston Globe *cites unnamed NFL and medical sources who insist that Pats QB Tom Brady is "on track to be fine for the opening game of the season."
A source goes on to say that "based on anybody else doing an ACL rehab, he's going right along. He had a shaky start, but he's caught up."
The Globe and *Boston Herald *also have columns that deal with Brady's high-profile offseason, in particular the photos of him that surfaced this week.
At the Super Bowl's Media Day, the Herald caught up with Matt Leinart, the Cardinals backup QB, who was a college teammate of Matt Cassel. Leinart said he is "rooting for [Cassel] to get a contract and play, and be a starting quarterback. I'm not sure what's going to happen, but he deserves that."
There's also plenty of news coverage today of the Patriots' hiring of senior football advisor **Floyd Reese**.
In addition to the two Boston papers, you'll find stories in The Providence Journal, on ESPN.com, and in Reese's former town of Nashville, where he spent several years with the Titans.
And if you want tickets to the Pats-Bucs game in London this fall, better act fast. Tickets are selling quickly.
