Pro Bowl wide receiver Wes Welkertook a timeout from workouts at Gillette Stadium this week to talk with reporters about his offseason.
"Yeah, he looks like the same guy to me ... He could never really run that well anyway, so there is not too much of a difference," Welker quipped yesterday when asked about the progress that QB Tom Bradyseems to be making as he returns from a serious knee injury.
"He's just working on his arm strength and everything like that."
As for his experience at the Pro Bowl?
"It went really well. I had fun out there; I went with a few buddies and enjoyed the weather, did some fishing, hung out by the pool," he said. "It was about what I expected. You're far away from the action in Waikiki, so it was a good family atmosphere."
