Gillette Stadium is the home of two nations. Most days, Patriots Nation reigns, but for two days every summer, No Shoes Nation comes home.
Kenny Chesney performed for the 18th and 19th times at Gillette Stadium on Aug. 24 and 25, and it included his one millionth ticket sold in Foxborough. Yes, one million tickets.
And his friends in Patriots Nation were there to help him celebrate.
In a video shared on Kenny's Twitter and played before he took the stage both nights, he received congratulations on the achievement from Patriots like Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Dont'a Hightower, Cordarrelle Patterson, David Andrews, Marcus Cannon, Jonathan Kraft and Robert Kraft.
The crowd (and Kenny) appreciated the show of love and respect that has bonded him and the region since 2005.
After wrapping up a business trip to Charlotte, of course Patriots players made sure to enjoy a night of country's finest on their home turf. David Andrews, former Patriot Rob Ninkovich, Jacob Hollister and Cody Hollister all spent the night rocking out to Kenny and Co.
The world of the Boys of Fall and the world of the guy who sings the song are as similar as they are different, but either way, the love between the two is real.
