FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots released RB Javarris James from the practice squad today.

James, 6-0, 215 pounds, originally signed with Indianapolis as a rookie free agent out of Miami on April 30, 2010. He was waived by Indianapolis on Sept. 4 and signed to the New England practice squad on Sept. 6.
