Patriots Release T Sebastian Vollmer

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced that they have released T Sebastian Vollmer.  

Vollmer, 32, was originally drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round (58th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-8, 320-pounder, played in 88 regular-season games with 80 starts from 2009-15 before landing on the Physically Unable to Perform List in 2016. Additionally, Vollmer started all 10 postseason games he appeared in, including all three games in the 2014 postseason en route to a Super Bowl Championship. His most productive season was 2010, when he started 16 regular-season games at right tackle and earned Associated Press All-Pro: Second Team honors.
