TreVeyon Henderson is having himself a year.
Before being drafted by the New England Patriots in April, the running back won an NCAA national football championship with Ohio State.
As Henderson shared Tuesday evening, he isn't the only one getting a ring. So was the woman who was by his side for all of it.
"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised," Henderson posted to his personal Instagram, quoting Proverbs 31:30 in the caption of his engagement announcement.
The photo appeared to be taken moments after Henderson popped the question – he and his fiancée standing on scattered rose petals in front of a giant marquee that said, "MARRY ME?"
In the picture, Henderson's fiancée has a beaming smile, proudly holding up her left hand to show off her engagement ring.
The news comes just days after Henderson made his first NFL start with the Patriots in a season opener at Gillette Stadium, recording 27 yards on five carries in his first glimpses of action.
The future feels bright for Henderson, and he has much to celebrate in the mean time.
