On Monday, Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski was honored at the 37th annual Ed Block Courage Awards Banquet in Baltimore, MD.
The Courage Award, which is handed out yearly to a player from every NFL team, honors former Baltimore Colts head athletic trainer Ed Block who was a pioneer in his profession and a well-respected humanitarian.
Other players who represented their teams at this year's banquet included Ravens CB Lardarius Webb, Lions WR Calvin Johnson, Panthers TE Greg Olsen and Chiefs TE Travis Kelce.
Gronkowski battled back from a torn ACL to have a dominant 2014 season in which he recorded 82 receptions for 1,124 years and 12 touchdowns. He joins past Patriots winners of the award including Sebastian Vollmer (2013), Marcus Cannon (2011), and Tom Brady (2009).
