The New England Patriots waived rookie punter James Kibble today. Following today's transaction, the Patriots now have 72 players on their active roster.

             Kibble, 22, was signed as a rookie free agent by the Patriots on April 19, 2000. The 5-foot-10-inch, 195-pound punter had not attempted a punt this preseason. He was a four-year letterman at Virginia Tech (1996-99)
