On January 28, Raytheon and NEPCF kicked off the fourth annual "Science of Sports" outreach and mentoring program that uses sports as a context to teach math and science at New England Boys & Girls Clubs. The program, in which Raytheon employees work with students at the Boys & Girls Clubs on sports-themed math and science projects, will culminate with a "Science of Sports Science Fair" at Gillette Stadium in the Spring. Student groups from Boys & Girls Clubs across the region gathered at The Hall at Patriot Place presented by Raytheon to meet their volunteer mentors, learn more about the program and view a science demonstration by a Mad Scientist.

Students from the Waltham Boys & Girls Club, along with nearly 100 other children from clubs across the region will work with Raytheon volunteer mentors to create a sports-themed science project to present at the fourth annual "Science of Sport Science Fair" at Gillette Stadium in May 2012.
