Head Coach Bill Belichick made another addition to his coaching staff this afternoon, hiring former New York Giants assistant Dick Rehbein as his quarterbacks coach.
Rehbein spent the last eight seasons with the Giants, where his duties included coaching the tight ends, wide receivers and the offensive line. This past year, he was in charge of the tight ends while also being an assistant offensive line coach.
Prior to his years with the Giants, Rehbein spent eight years in Minnesota. He was the assistant offensive coordinator/passing game coach for his final three years with the Vikings. He also has experience with the Los Angeles Express of the USFL and Green Bay (1979-83) as special teams coach.
Rehbein, 44, will work with Drew Bledsoe and will be his fourth position coach in the last five years.
