According to various internet and Twitter reports, add another name to the list of free agent players the Patriots will be hosting this week as former Rams guard Shelley Smith is expected to visit New England on Thursday.
The 6-4, 312-pound guard started two of the 14 games he played in last fall in St. Louis, and eight of the 25 he's played in over the last two seasons with the Rams.
Smith, who will also reportedly visit the New York Giants, originally entered the league in 2010 as a sixth-round pick of the Texans out of Colorado State.
