Represented by James Develin and Brian Schwenke
United States Marine Corps Private First Class Peter J. Handibode was born on March 19, 1996, and grew up in Weymouth, Massachusetts. He graduated from Weymouth High School in 2014 and fulfilled his lifelong dream of enlisting in the Marine Corps.Â
He was a student at Air Traffic Control School, Aviation Maintenance Squadron Two, stationed in Pensacola, Florida. Â Peter led a short but distinguished military career. He was about to become the first Marine to graduate at the top of his class in a long time. PFC Handibode father was also a Marine, and the 19-year-old was continuing a family military traditionÂ
His wiry frame kept him off the gridiron and his one attempt to play football, at age 7, was a short one. Petey, as he was known, was a kind, brilliant, talented young man. He loved music, martial arts and his Boston sport teams. He was a total homer and he never knew a losing Patriots season.
