Represented by Phillip Dorsett and Devin McCourty
United States Army Specialist Kenneth J. Iwasinski was born on April 13, 1985, and grew up in western Massachusetts. Kenny earned his GED so he could fulfill his dream of joining the Army.
Kenny loved the Chevy Camaro, Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. His fellow soldiers knew him as 'Ski' and still tell stories of how Ski loved to talk about the teams and about his love for his family, especially his father. On his one and only leave home, they spent the entire time sharing stories, laughs, tears and fears, and they got matching tattoos.
Kenny died on October 14, 2007, when the Humvee he was driving hit an IED (Improvised Explosive Device). At the time of his death he had been deployed for just over a year and would have returned home around October 3, 2007, but his tour was extended six months. For his service to our country, he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
