The magazine includes a story on New England's frat-boy, record-setting star entitled "The Full Gronkowski," in which the writer attends a 21st birthday party at which Gronk is paid to appear.
"People say, 'He's doing way too many things,' but [I do them] because I got nothing to do," Gronkowski tells SI. "That's why I hit up every charity event, why I hit up every party I'm invited to. If I'm just sitting at home, that's not productive. That's boring. I like going out, meeting new people, having a good time. I guess that's why I'm all over the papers. I don't have any girlfriends, no kids. Basically I work out two hours every single day, and then I have 12 hours to do whatever I want."
Elsewhere in the SI preview Peter King makes his 2012 season predictions, including the Packers beating the Broncos in the Super Bowl.
King projects the Patriots to win the AFC East and the No. 2 seed in the conference with a 12-4 record before losing to Peyton Manning's Broncos 19-17 in the AFC title game. Of course King also has the Chiefs and Bills tying 20-20 on Wild Card Weekend, but somehow the Broncos advance.
