Tom Brady knows better than anyone that where you are selected in the draft does not dictate how you will perform in the league, and on the first day of the 2017 Draft, Tom made sure to remind the hopeful picks that  stats and Combine evaluations "can't measure heart."Â
With a post on Thursday night, Tom took a look back at his University of Michigan days before he was a Patriot, before he was a five-time Super Bowl Champion and before he was the GOAT.
Everyone knows the Tom Brady origin story. He was picked 199th overall. People doubted him, but through his prolific career, he has silenced all doubt. This is the exact type of story that is comforting to prospects that might go later than expected or go undrafted altogether.Â
Knowing it would be a day of excitement for some and disappointment for many others, Tom extended an inspirational message to remind this year's prospects that they are in control.Â
"Remember: they can't measure heart," Tom wrote. "Whether you're picked first, last or not at all, YOU decide what happens next, every day. Good luck!!!"
