Adam Vinatieri needs just five more points this season to become the first full-time New England Patriot place kicker in team history to record four consecutive seasons with 100 points or more.
The four-year veteran has 95 points thus far. The only other Patriot to score 100 points in four straight seasons was Gino Cappelletti, who accomplished the feat as a wide receiver and kicker. Cappelletti, the team's all-time leading scorer, actually accomplished the feat for six straight seasons from 1961 through 1966.
Vinatieri has 457 points in his four years in New England, which ranks him third in team history. He trails Cappelletti (1,130) and John Smith (671).
