Before turning the page to the playoffs, we present a look at the Patriots 2019 regular season.

Week 1 – Patriots 33, Steelers 3
The Patriots unveiled Super Bowl banner #6 and lived up their championship pedigree with a big win over Pittsburgh. WR Phillip Dorsett caught two of Tom Brady's three touchdown passes – a 25-yarder in the second quarter and a 58-yarder in the third. Stephen Gostkowski added four field goals and the Pats' stout defense held the Steelers to just 32 rushing yards.

Week 2 – Patriots 43, Dolphins 0
The Patriots recorded their first-ever shutout win over the Dolphins thanks to a supreme effort on defense that featured four interceptions and seven sacks. With New England up 23-0, Stephon Gilmore picked off Ryan Fitzpatrick early in the fourth quarter and returned it 54 yards for a touchdown. Less than two minutes later, Jamie Collins added a pick-6 of his own and returned it 54 yards. Tom Brady ran and threw for a touchdown.

Week 3 – Patriots 30, Jets 14
The Patriots defense was again dynamite, holding the Jets to just 105 total yards. Jets RB Le'Veon Bell was limited to just 35 yards on 18 carries. Tom Brady threw touchdown passes to Phillip Dorsett and Julian Edelman in the first half and Rex Burkhead's two-yard TD run late in the third quarter gave New England a commanding 30-0 lead that was never jeopardized.

Week 4 – Patriots 16, Bills 10
The Patriots got the job done with all three phases – offense, defense and special teams. Brandon Bolden scored on a four-yard rush midway through the first quarter, and a little over a minute later, J.C. Jackson blocked a punt that Matthew Slater returned 11 yards for a touchdown. The Patriots defense came up with four interceptions. Jackson had two picks, Devin McCourty recorded his fourth pick in as many games (tying a franchise record), and Jamie Collins recorded the final one, which sealed the win with 1:27 to play.

Week 5 – Patriots 33, Redskins 7
With many Patriots fans in the stands, New England had something of home field advantage at FedEx Field. Tom Brady tossed touchdown passes to Julian Edelman, Brandon Bolden and Ryan Izzo, as the Patriots scored 33 unanswered points. Dont'a Hightower led the charge on defense, recording 1.5 of the Pats' six sacks.

Week 6 – Patriots 35, Giants 14
The Patriots again played complementary football, scoring on offense, defense and special teams. Brandon Bolden blocked a punt which rookie Chase Winovich returned six yards for a TD in the opening quarter, Kyle Van Noy returned a fumble 22 yards for a touchdown in fourth quarter, and Tom Brady had a pair of one-yard TD runs in the second half.

Week 7 – Patriots 33, Jets 0
Just shy of Halloween, the Patriots' "Boogeymen" terrorized the Jets, recording five turnovers and a safety on "Monday Night Football." Defensive backs Devin McCourty, Stephon Gilmore, Duron Harmon and Terrence Brooks all intercepted Sam Darnold, who lost an errant snap in the back of the end zone midway through the third quarter. Sony Michel bookended the scoring, rushing for TDs in the first and fourth quarters.

Week 8 – Patriots 27, Browns 13
In a rainy affair in Foxboro, the Patriots clamped down on the Browns and won their 13th straight game dating back to the previous season. Defensive lineman Lawrence Guy had an interception, Dont'a Hightower returned a fumble 26 yards for a score, and Julian Edelman caught two TD passes. Jonathan Jones made the hustle play of the day, chasing down Nick Chubb following a 40-yard gain and knocking the ball out to force a fumble and take away a potential touchdown. With the win, Bill Belichick became just one of three coaches in NFL history to win 300 games.

Week 9 – Ravens 37, Patriots 20
Newly-acquired WR Mohamed Sanu scored his first touchdown as a Patriot to help New England rally from an early 17-0 deficit, but reputed league MVP Lamar Jackson proved too tough, throwing for a TD and running for two others to hand the Patriots their first loss of the season.

Week 11 – Patriots 17, Eagles 10
Following a bye, the Patriots got back to their winning ways and pulled off a special play in Philly. Trailing by a point in the third quarter, Tom Brady threw a backward pass to Julian Edelman. The former Kent State QB then fired a 15-yard touchdown pass to Phillip Dorsett. New England made two defensive stands in the final minute, including a Hail Mary attempt broken up by Devin McCourty with two seconds to go.

Week 12Â - Patriots 13, Cowboys 6
Matthew Slater blocked Chris Jones' punt late in the first quarter to set up rookie WR N'Keal Harry, who recorded his first career touchdown on a 10-yard pass from Tom Brady, providing all the offense the Patriots needed on a cold and rainy contest. The Patriots defense held Dallas to just 2-for-14 on third and fourth-down conversions and kept a team out of the end zone for the fourth time this season.

Week 13 – Texans 28, Patriots 22
New England's furious comeback attempt fell short, as they rallied from a 28-9 fourth-quarter deficit to pull within six points, but couldn't recover an onside kick with just under a minute to go. Tom Brady threw for three touchdowns, as did Houston QB DeShuan Watson, who also rushed for a score on an option play, helping the Texans snap an eight-game losing streak in the series. RB James White had two receiving TDs.

Week 14 – Chiefs 23, Patriots 16
In a game that featured some questionable calls, the Patriots failed to execute when it mattered most. Tom Brady's fourth-down pass intended for Julian Edelman from the Kansas City five-yard line was broken up in the end zone by Bashaud Breeland with 1:11 to go, allowing the Chiefs to escape from Foxboro with a win.

Week 15 – Patriots 34, Bengals 13
Stephon Gilmore (who tied for the league lead with six interceptions) stated his case to be named the Defensive Player of the Year with key interceptions on back-to-back drives in the third quarter that broke open a close game. Gilmore's first pick of Andy Dalton – early in the third quarter – set up Tom Brady's TD pass to N'Keal Harry, and moments later, Gilmore picked off a pass and returned it 64 yards for a score to give New England a 27-10 advantage. Former Bengals RB Rex Burkhead put an exclamation point on the win with a 33-yard TD run.

Week 16 – Patriots 24, Bills 17
New England wrapped up its 11th straight AFC East Division title with a comeback win over the Bills. Trailing by four the in the fourth quarter, Tom Brady rallied the Patriots within a seven-play, 59-yard drive, capped off by Rex Burkhead's tough, tackle-breaking one-yard TD run with 5:06 to go. Cornerback J.C. Jackson cemented the win by knocking down Josh Allen's Hail Mary pass in the end zone with just over a minute left.

Week 17 – Dolphins 24, Patriots 17
Ryan Fitzpatrick capped a 13-play, 65-yard drive with a five-yard TD pass to Mike Gesicki with 24 seconds left as the Dolphins upset the Patriots. James White's 13-yard TD catch with four minutes to go had given the Patriots the lead. Despite the loss, the Patriots finished with a 12-4 record for the 13th time in their 60-year history.
