Ben McAdoo joined the Patriots as a senior offensive assistant in 2024. Before the Patriots, McAdoo spent time in various roles with the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints.
McAdoo's first offensive coordinator role came with the New York Giants, serving in the position for two seasons (2014-15) before taking over the helm as the team's head coach. In his first season as head coach in 2016, McAdoo led the Giants to a 11-5 record and the team's first playoff berth since 2011. McAdoo's next position in the NFL came with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020, where he served as quarterbacks coach. McAdoo spent the 2021 season as a consultant for the Dallas Cowboys, and most recently spent the 2022 season as the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers.
McAdoo began his coaching career as an assistant high school coach at Homer-Center & Indiana in Pennsylvania. After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), he became a graduate assistant at Michigan State, working with special teams and offense. McAdoo was hired the following year as the offensive line and tight ends coach at Fairfield University, followed by a graduate assistant position at the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. He spent time as the offensive quality control coach for the New Orleans Saints (2004) and assistant offensive line coach for the San Francisco 49ers (2005) before being hired as the tight ends coach for the Green Bay Packers. McAdoo spent six seasons (2006-11) as the tight ends coach before becoming Green Bay's quarterbacks coach from 2012-13. He was a part of the coaching staff during Green Bay's 2010 Super Bowl Championship.
Ben McAdoo was born on July 9, 1977 in Homer City, Penn. He graduated from IUP with a degree in health and physical education and earned a master's degree in kinesiology from Michigan State University. He and his wife, Toni, have a daughter, Larkin, and a son, BJ.
