The dance squad is also featured in the swimsuit calendar and squad poster. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and must be a high school graduate or have GED by the date of preliminary auditions in order to participate. No exceptions will be made. If you audition for the dance squad and you are not selected, you can elect to be considered for the promotional model squad (see below.)
Patriots Cheerleaders Promotional Model Squad
As part of our responsibility to the community and to our team partners, public and game day appearances are becoming an increasingly important squad role. Due to the numerous appearance requests we receive, we have assembled an elite squad for promotional appearances and event participation. A Patriots Cheerleader promotional model is a non-performing squad member specifically chosen for her specialization in, and availability for, public and game-day appearances. Promotional models must be outgoing, well-spoken and have flexible schedules. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and must be a high school graduate or have GED by the date of final auditions in order to participate. No exceptions will be made. Patriots Cheerleader promotional models are not required to attend practices but are required to attend Patriots home games. They are featured in the annual swimsuit calendar and squad poster.
Promotional models are not required to attend the dance audition. Resumes and photos must be RECEIVED (not postmarked) at Gillette Stadium by no later than Monday, February 20, 2012. Your resume should outline educational and occupational background and any community service, public speaking and modeling experience you may have. Photos can be color or black and white. One full length and one headshot should be included as well as one candid photo which has had no photo retouching done. Photos and resumes will not be returned.
A $10.00 processing fee is required for promotional model applications. Checks or money orders should be made payable to New England Patriots. Please do not send cash. Please mail resume, photos and check or money order to:

PRELIMINARY AUDITION GENERAL INFORMATION & REQUIREMENTS
Preliminary auditions will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Dana Farber Field House at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. Registration will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and must be a high school graduate or have GED by the date of preliminary auditions in order to participate. No exceptions will be made. Please bring a driver's license or government issued ID. There is no maximum age limit and we do not have a height requirement. Preliminary auditions will be held on one day only. If you are unable to attend that day, there will not be a make-up date scheduled. We do not accept videotapes in lieu of auditioning. As preliminary auditions will not be open for public viewing, guests will not be permitted into the audition facility.
You should wear fitted work-out attire and sneakers or dance shoes for the audition. Be sure to bring warm-ups as it will get cool during the waiting periods. A neat and polished appearance is best. Your hair and make-up should be "performance" ready. Think "glamour" rather than "sporty." Your outfit should complement your figure. You should also bring plenty to drink and a healthy lunch. Upon arrival, participants will be asked to submit a $20.00 registration fee and complete an application form and participation waiver. You may complete the application in advance by downloading the form from this site. Then, you can simply bring the completed form with you on the day of preliminary auditions. Audition numbers will be assigned as candidates turn in their applications.
Candidates should bring a resume and a current photograph. The resume should outline performance, employment and educational background, and any other interesting information e.g., hobbies, special talents, etc. The photograph can be color or black and white, and any size is fine and can be a headshot or a full length photo. Resumes and photographs will not be returned.
Participants will be taught choreographed dance combinations will be given an opportunity to perform a freestyle combination as well (music will be determined on the day of preliminaries.) Several tabulations will be made throughout the day and approximately 50 finalists will be selected to participate in final auditions scheduled for March 17, 2012 at Gillette Stadium's Putnam Club East.
Those being selected for the 2012 Patriots Cheerleading dance squad will be required to attend two rehearsals each week, held at Gillette Stadium. These practices are generally held on Tuesday evenings (7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.) and Saturdays or Sundays (full day, usually 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.), from March through September. From October through season-end, practices will be generally held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, leaving weekends free for promotional opportunities. Please note that there may be variations in that schedule as Gillette Stadium is a multi-use facility, requiring some scheduling flexibility. Patriots Cheerleaders do not perform at away games but perform at all 10 home games at Gillette Stadium, as well as any home playoff games. Should the Patriots play in the Super Bowl, the cheerleaders would likely travel to that game. Patriots Cheerleaders are part-time employees of the organization and are compensated for practices, games and public appearances. Patriots Cheerleaders promotional squad members will not be required to attend all rehearsals but should remain available for promotional appearances and games.
The Patriots Cheerleaders swimsuit calendars shoot, typically arranged in an exotic location, is tentatively scheduled for April (details forthcoming). Patriots Cheerleaders will receive many other benefits, which may include complimentary hair services, tanning and cosmetic dentistry services. International travel opportunities may be presented as well. Patriots Cheerleaders have appeared on many local and national television shows. The ladies have appeared in national publications such as Maxim, Sports Illustrated, Muscle and Fitness, FHM (U.S. and China publications) and Men's Style. Cheerleaders have made personal appearances throughout the United States and have entertained U.S. military troops stationed in more than 25 countries since 9/11. The Patriots Cheerleaders have made four trips to China to promote the NFL and to train Chinese dancers and cheerleaders for the Olympic Games in Beijing. Travel out of New England and appearances for corporate and charitable organizations are cast based on individual availability.

2012 Optional Audition Workshop
The following is information pertaining to our Optional Audition Workshop, a program designed to better prepare candidates for the audition process. Though attendance at the workshop is not required, it is highly recommended. It's common for workshop participants to be successful in the audition process as they are well prepared.
This workshop is open to participants only. Guests will not be permitted inside the event facility. Upon your arrival, you will be required to sign a waiver prior to your participation. After a brief registration process, a group warm-up will be conducted. Next, you will be taught several dance combinations. These combinations will be different from the routines that you will learn at preliminary auditions, however, they will familiarize you with the style and level of dance ability that is expected of squad members. We will also review the high kick and free style categories of the audition process.
The next segment of the program will include a detailed discussion regarding the agenda for audition days, judging criteria, proper attire, hair and makeup suggestions, resume and photo requirements, and some tips on how to have an outstanding interview. You will also be informed on what to expect should you be selected for the 2012 cheerleading squad including information on rehearsals, personal appearances, photo shoots, game days, travel opportunities. The discussion will end with a Q&A segment.
You should wear fitted workout attire and sneakers or dance shoes. Your outfit should complement your figure, and your hairstyle and makeup should be worn to flatter your appearance as well. Although you won't be judged during this event, remember that first impressions are lasting and you want to feel and look your best.. Be sure to bring plenty to drink and a healthy lunch.
At the conclusion of the program, each person attending the clinic will receive an autographed panoramic poster of the 2011 Patriots Cheerleading squad.
