TEMPE, Ariz. (March 9, 2005) -- The Arizona Cardinals re-signed defensive end Peppi Zellner to a two-year contract and released quarterback Shaun King and wide receiver Karl Williams.
Zellner started 14 games at left defensive end in 2004. This year, he apparently will back up newcomer Chike Okeafor, who had a career-high 8½ sacks last year for Seattle.
Zellner, acquired along with running back Troy Hambrick in a trade with Oakland on Aug. 31, had 35 tackles and two sacks.
King and Williams joined the Cardinals as free agents from Tampa Bay last March.
