During the month of October the NFL and the Patriots teamed up to support breast cancer awareness through a host of activities geared toward raising the profile and needed funds for breast cancer, which affects hundreds of thousands of people each year. Patriots players got in on the act for the October 4th game against the Ravens by sporting pink gear including sideline hats, gloves, wristbands and cleats, many of which were autographed and are now up for auction on the team's web site, http://www.proteamauctions.com. All of the proceeds from the auction will benefit breast cancer-related charities and initiatives.
