Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller addresses the media during his conference call on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.

Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller addresses the media during his conference call on Wednesday, September 22, 2010.

On his preparation for the Patriots:
It's going to be the same; you just look at film, break down stuff and try to see what we can do on offense as a whole to try and move the ball and keep our defense off the field. It's going to be a tough matchup; it's a great team so it's going to be a great matchup.

On if he expects to be more involved in the offense:
I'm not sure, I'm just going to prepare the best way I can and whenever I'm called on Sunday I've just got to be ready to go.

On his decision to go back to Clemson for his senior year:
It was a great decision. First of all, I went back to graduate and that's what I did, I just wanted to be an example to younger people to let them know how important a degree is and now that I have it I'm doing what I love doing which is playing football.

On if it was a tough decision stay in school rather than go to the NFL:
It was tough, a little bit, because you're talking about money and you're talking about a degree, so once I sat back and evaluated everything it became a whole lot clearer and a whole lot easier.

On if he's leaned on any specific teammates for advice:
You know we do a great job in the running back room, talking with Marshawn and talking to Fred and we have communication throughout the whole game, I think that'll help us be successful.

On anything they've told him to help him early in the season:
Just be patient and don't try to force [anything] and then just stay calm on the sideline. You never know what's going to happen through the game. I'm more of a guy who is going to get the guys going when things aren't going right but it's a long game and things are going to happen.

On his experience in the season opener:
It was great, it was great to come out play our game and of course we would have wanted to win playing at home but unfortunately we didn't. But the fans were awesome, they were right behind us helping us out.

On the Patriots defense:
It's going to be a very difficult team, very physical up front, [they] can cover, but like I said it's going to be a great matchup. We're looking forward to it, we're just going to try and have a great week of preparation and go up there and get something accomplished.

On his style as a running back:
Well I'm more versatile, can run it, catch it and of course I [return kicks]. I'm always trying to work on everything and try to get better as a player.
