DENVER (July 30, 2006) -- Free agent Adam Meadows has signed a three-year deal with the Denver Broncos after recovering from a shoulder injury that forced him out of football for the past two seasons.
Meadows, 32, who also drew interest from the Green Bay Packers, could push George Foster for the starting job at right tackle even though he hasn't played since 2003.
A six-year starter, Meadows played all 103 career regular-season games (96 starts) from 1997-2003 with Indianapolis, which selected him in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft out of the University of Georgia.
He retired after joining the Panthers because of the injury.
